About Early Action schools:
Early Action (EA): Early admissions process that is non-binding.
Unlike Early Decision (ED), you can choose whether or not you want to attend the school if you are accepted.
This gives you more flexibility because you can review their financial aid package and compare the schools even after acceptance, while getting some peace of mind that you have a place to go early.
You CAN apply to schools both EA and ED.
Some schools, like Stanford, have Restrictive EA meaning you can only apply there EA
While most schools offer ED, not all schools offer EA. It is a very limited number.
